Expensive Day
Today was a day where it started from ground zero costing me money? On my two hour break between classes I got my back window tinted. What a difference it made! My truck looks so much better from the front and back, this made me very happy. After work Craig and I went to Wal-Mart to try to find a wiring harness for an old deck that he had. He tells me the tweeter on his side isn’t working. This is not good. So we had to run to a couple of other places and then back to his house to figure out what was going on. Come to find out the tweeter has a bad connection. That was after an hour and a half of troubleshooting. Then when I got home I was going to fix the tweeter, but first I got some ideas on why my system was shutting down. Come to find out the crossover box on the same side where the tweeter is bad is making the system click off. I turned the stereo to the left so see if it would click off with just that side, after about 3 minutes of running the system all out smoke starts coming out of the left tweeter! Mother of God this isn’t happening to me. So the second tweeter dies the same day, but this one is dead for sure. I had the tweeters turned up loud on the crossover so I fixed this for future reference on the front and also on the rear crossovers. So now I need to find out why the one tweeter fried itself. I think its because I had them turned up but still they shouldn’t do that. Anyway that was the extent of my day. Max this little ops is going to 200 bucks, I hope it becomes less, but still very annoying.
