Starfish Resurrection

Today I encountered one of the most interesting conversations I’ve ever had on the phone, ok maybe not but I find it rather entertaining.

This random girl calls the plant, I am guessing it’s a girl because she sounds young, so she proceeds to tell me that two days ago she found a shriveled up starfish. She goes on to tell me that she put it in her fishbowl and today its gone! Then, she asked me if it “came back to life?” seriously, what do you say to someone when they tell you this? I told her, trying not to die laughing, that I don’t know, and you know what’s coming next, she asks me who to call! I wasn’t thinking so I told her maybe a pet store.

The best part was that she was totally dead serious.

Sunshine!

I think someone read my post about how I hate rain. Today it was so nice outside!

Only the “Comical”

I read this today on our local newspapers website under the police reports. This is so classic.

Police were called Tuesday to a Centralia home where six pink flamingo yard ornaments had been taken from the yard. A note was left on the door stating if the victim would like the flamingos returned, he must leave 10 candy bars in the mailbox or “pink heads will roll,” according to Centralia police. The investigation into the late Sunday crime continues. Police Sgt. Jim Shannon said this morning he didn’t have any further details, but joked that the SWAT team was on standby.

Rain

Why does it ALWAYS rain whenever you least want it to.

My stereo is delayed yet again do to weather.

Nose

Being able to smell, or at least halfway, is such a great thing. The more I think about it though I’m not sure what I like better being able to or not being able to.

Office Space

Today for some reason I felt like I was Peter in Office Space. I was productive but I was just in one of those I hate doing office work. I guess that goes hand in hand to the fact that I have been doing office work for the past three days at work. I am almost done with the things that I needed to catch up on. It’s a very good feeling when you get things accomplished.

Tonight instead of working on my truck I decided I was going to get some stuff done on various websites I have been working on. I work on them every night, but tonight I started early…that didn’t exact go as planned. For some reason I have been having a massive brain fart and it’s really bothering me. That’s a web guy’s life in a nutshell.

Thunder

Thunder and lightening is so cool, but it’s totally not cool when you are trying to work outside. Needless to say it is totally my luck when I get my truck totally ripped apart and then it starts to rain, therefore delaying installing the rest of my stereo for yet another day.

Friday was my birthday and it was awesome. All my friends called me or text messaged me it was cool. Then Teresa and Jessica called me and sang happy birthday in Spanish. I was driving at the time they called and I was like what the heck are they saying then I realized it was in Spanish. It was really cool though. I didn’t hardly get anything done at work though because everyone kept calling me but that’s a totally sweet thing and I didn’t mind it one bit. Work was really busy this week so I didn’t mind having an easy day to end the week with.

That night for some odd reason a couple of friends were going to help me install the stereo in my truck, somehow we decided to pull and all-nighter and do it. We got half of it installed, I just have to put the rear speakers in and tune the system. Subwoofers are going to come next once I get a new backseat. We had to take the old one out because it was trashed and stunk like dog from when my dad had the dogs in the truck. Somehow about midnight Craig had to slip with his knife and cut his finger to the tune of Brock had to take him to the Emergency Room and got seven stitches. When they got back we got right back at the job. At noon we finally had enough put together so I could drive it home and sleep.

Earlier that night Craig and I were driving around being dumb so we got this great idea to go through Jack in the Box and ask for fry containers and hamburger wraps. The best part about the random event was when he asked for “one of the paper thingy’s that you wrap the burgers in” the guy at the window” What kind would you like sir?” Sometimes I wonder about how bored people that work fast food get.

Anyway moving right along with this totally random post, which is very poorly organized because I tend to bounce around quite a bit?

Today was spent with sleeping half of the day away and then had to go get myself some more wire. We didn’t have enough wire to do the back speakers but we were so tired we didn’t even want to at the time. Then it started to thunder, and therefore leads to rain so I was unable to finish the install again. Rain always delays projects and it sucks quite a big one.

Enough of just typing random, I’m so tired I need sleep.

Woot!

Long days have got to be the worse thing ever, but when I mean long I’m not talking a normal bad day at work. Staying up for 30 hours is just not good, and I am sure feeling it now. I’ll write a novel on what’s been going on probably tomorrow.
