Rain

Can someone please turn off the water and bring out the sun to evaporate ALL the standing water. Thanks.

A New Era

A new era in annoying technology has arrived. If you remember the days of email forwards you will relate to this. I remember way back when, probably at least 5 years ago when I was just starting high school I used to get the dumbest forward from people…Hotmail will delete your account if you don’t forward this to x people, or give money to this place, but they made tons of spelling errors. Now…the new thing is MySpace bulletins. With the quizzes, people saying your account will be removed. Or just message that not everyone needs to read. Well…a little over a week ago a new forward has come upon me. If you are a football fan you most likely know that the Seattle Seahawks are going to the Superbowl. Well what is this forward…a text message forward. Read below;

You are now joined in the “Seahawks 12th Man Ring of Fire”..! (don’t break the “Blue Wave” and forward this to at least 6 fans

I thought it was quite creative…so it makes me wonder what other text message forwards will I receive in the future? Will it ones that Cingular is going to deactivate my phone if I don’t forward it to 10 people? Only time will tell.

Friday

I don’t think I have ever been so glad to see Friday. This was one of the longest weeks I have had in a long time. Three tests got a website out the door, well almost. Plus add company meetings into that. Wow. I’m off to maybe catch up on sleep.

MySpace Update

For anyone that reads my MySpace, I’ve done some updating. Go check it out!

eBay - Part II

Okay…well now that the fire is out from my previous post about people on eBay I have a fallow up to the last post. Just read and enjoy.
————————————-
The first letter from this guy saying how I stiffed him on feedback (From the other day incase you missed it)
————————————-
I, like everyone else on eBay, am trying to build my reputation with feedback. I carried out my end of the agreement in a more than timely fashion, ad I left feedback for you the day I received the product. I would appreciate if you would do the same for me and leave me the positive feedback I deserve for this transaction. So far, you are about the 5th seller to stiff me on the feedback, and I do not feel it is right. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

I got this on Friday from Mr. Caymon
———————————–
I think it is really childish of you to ignore my request. I kept my end of the agreement, and I left you positive feedback. I asked you nicely to do the same for me, and you have neither done so, or even made the effort to reply to my request with a reason for not doing so. I will be sure to never buy anything from you again, and also steer anyone away from you and your business that I can. I am trying to build on my feedback, and after keeping my end of the deal, and paying instantly, and being patient with you as far as getting the tracking number, I feel the least you could do is to leave a positive feedback. But, thanks for nothing, I suppose.

My Reply, and I also left him feedback stating “A”

Hello,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have your other email in my inbox with about 150 other emails that I haven’t had time to take care of yet. I am a full time college student, and I also work two full time jobs. The eBay feedback system is not a requirement; it’s the seller or buyers option to leave feedback. If you go look at my feedback it says I’ve gotten 188. Please note that in my seller manager I’ve completed almost 200 auctions, and I’ve also bought over 60 items. There that’s approx 70 feedbacks that I haven’t ever gotten. I don’t go around emailing people or demanding it. but i did give you feedback, but in the future just email saying hey are ya going to leave me feedback, instead of saying how I stiffed you and all that jazz…because I have 90 days from auction end to give you feedback. I always give feedback to buyer and sellers, but lots of times i only do this once or two times a month in big batches because I’m so busy. those are my 2 cents,

good luck on ebay.
————————-
His reply to that…
————————-
Thank you for the response. I wasnt trying to be a dick about. I have had several sellers stiff me on feedback, and I reacted the same way to all of them. I just didnt want it to keep happening. I do understand time constraints, as I am busy myself. Again, thanks for the response, and I appologize if I came across as rude about it.

Well that is that, I am not going to rant on this because I don’t care I just find this funny. Enjoy.

Closing Up

Due to a recent issue of “flaming” (if you don’t know what this is, please use google) I am closing comments to the public. Only registered members will be able to make comments. I am sad to do this, but I don’t appreciate negative comments about my opinions and person thoughts. Another reason for this is that I am writing up some articles and other tech information that I would try to avoid flaming. The comments from before the “switch” will be left untouched, but please if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say it at all.

In other site related news I have also stopped syncing this site with MySpace, due to the fact that the plug-in is no longer working.

People on eBay

Holy shit, some people on eBay are such idiots. Seriously, check out these two messages I got from people this week.

First one, the guy is telling me how I stiffed him on feedback. Ok, I understand you haven’t gotten feedback yet. I have 90 days to do it. Give me time! I do quite a bit of buying and selling on eBay, and doing feedback one transaction at a time is pointless and takes way to much time. Therefore I wait till I have a dozen or so to do, and they all get their feedback. Not this guy, he isn’t getting jack. I have people ask me to give them feedback and if they are nice I it right away, but if they are an ass like this guy, then screw ‘em.

Okay, this guy has some serious issues. I posted his eBay username so god and everybody could see what a fool he made outta himself. I was bidding on an item, and I reached my limit, just so happened it was in the last 30 seconds. Auction ends, he emails me the fallowing. I mean WTF??!! What was the point of this, I guess to make him look like a dipshit. He did a good job at that btw.

Okay, sorry for ranting I just finally had enough!

Star Wars ASCII

This totally rocks…

It’s Star Wars in ASCII. If you are running *nix or OS X just run this in the console:

telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl

If you are on the Winblows side of life, go download Putty and click telnet, then enter this address:

towel.blinkenlights.nl

Enjoy.

A New World

I’ve been a geek for as long as I can remember. I did my first website when I was in 8th grade. Holy crap that was long ago. I remember when just html was cool. That summer I perfected my skills and was trying all kinds of different stuff. Then a guy I met in high school my frosh year, Caleb, showed me how to do one little thing in flash that rocketed me on my journey. Well my jr year I basically got bored with websites and just slacked off. Well…over the past year, sense I started this site (yes that was back when I was using Movable Type) I started getting back into website design. And recently I’ve gotten swamped with customer jobs. I’ve been learning and catching up on all this new technology. CSS oh my has it grown, and all the cool stuff you can do with flash these days. I should post my old flash work sometime, someday. I am not a very creative person when it comes to web design, therefore the past few weeks I’ve been surfing and reading and get some ideas. Tonight while doing my nightly digg I came across a great site. If you are remotely interested in website design and development check this site out. It’s totally worth it and has anything you could possibly need.

To Much

I’ve realized that there isn’t enough time in the day. Seriously there isn’t. This is not a new discovery it is just becoming more noticeable, and it could also be the fact that I’ve felt like crap the whole week. But in good news the rain has stopped for the evening, so far, and the water is going down. So lets hope for the best!

Last night I finish my page about my workstation, and also added a page about my iPod. Still not content on the other pages, including iPod, but I am working on it. I also have tons of web projects going on right now on top of my day job so time is getting scarce. Does anyone want to buy me a laptop so I can work at the college?

If someone has ever watched paint dry, please leave me a comment describing it. I’m debating weather a couple of my college classes are worse than that.

Flooding

Can someone PLEASE stop the rain. If it floods…I mean seriously floods…its going to seriously fuck shit up at work. Thx.

In other news we have the pump going and we are doing good for the time being I just hope it lets up soon.

This weekend was busy with cleaning and organizing, so there is a reason for the lack of posts. I’ve switched gears from working on the main site to cleaning up the gallery. The gallery gets quite a bit of traffic so I am trying to get that cleaned up before I get this finished. So look forward to changes on the site and gallery of the new few days, because I have lots of stuff coming up.

MySpace

I am going to start this off by saying I really don’t like MySpace. But I’m a geek, so I have it, and I’ll leave it at that. I know someone is going to ask me this, so here is my reasoning behind it. This is also similar to my reasoning for just not using Live Journal. I have my own server, I design websites, and finally I a geek as I stated above. So why not do it myself, I’m in full control, and I can do more. So that might help…anyway on to the real point of this post…

While browsing my new favorite site (The rest of my favorite sites will soon be up in my links section that I am working on. Might I also mention I feel like its the 90’s again because I have actually been surfing the net. What’s wrong with me?) digg.com I came across this article. It is about the people the own/run MySpace. Very very interesting if you ask me. Please post your comments on this I am curious what y’all think.
