A Weekend of Driving

Wow this weekend went fast. I don’t want to go to class tomorrow morning. But I think it will be a good week…I had two tests last week so hopefully this week will be test free.

Saturday I went up north to EOPerformance and did a little bit of work on my Silvia (race car). I basically have everything to put it together now…so next couple of weeks it will really take shape. Once I get it together I’ll post picks. Right now it doesn’t look that nice and it would be sad to post them. I also need to shout out to Ray and Ken at Enjuku Racing for all the help on this project. And thanks for the free shirt Ray!

Last night a friend of my sister came over so we hung out and had a nice chat. He’s been gone for that past four years in the Coast Guard is it was nice to talk.

Tonight I went down to Vancouver for a TSDNW meeting. It went really well. There is a car club in Oregon that is starting an Oregon chapter of TSDNW. So now we have two meeting spots on the weekends to kick it…plus another 13 cars for the rally. Hopefully we will have 20 cars. Aka next rally should rock. Hopefully some of the Extreme Evolution guys from Olympia, and DriftFirm guys can come too. It’s a blast if you love to drive.

So ya … fun weekend with lots of freeway miles but totally worth it. Bedtime.

TSDNW

Rally season has begun. For those that don’t know I belong to a rally club in Vancouver, Washington. We do a Time Seed Distance road rally. For more info head over to our website and check it out!

Also I added a category for updates related to TSDNW. We also had a meeting tonight that went awesome!

Links Organization

So many links so little time. I’ve been spending some time trying to figure out how to collaborate all the links I’ve gathered over the years. Not all links, just the ones that personally matter to me and that I feel will be important to my visitors. What I think I am going to do is create pages with info and then put relevant links at the bottom of those pages. For the link categories that don’t warrant their own page there will be a page especially for that.

Wordpress Rocks Officially

The past couple of days because it was a four day weekend from school, normal weekend from work, but I had some extra time to continue working on the never ending project. This site. After working on several pages and doing the necessary research behind them I realized how powerful Wordpress really is. I’ve done tons of stuff with this software that I didn’t know I could do before…but in working on the links page, and the Firefox Guide I discovered I could run almost 90% of the page through the links manager in Wordpress. Now how uber cool is that! I did quite a bit of reading on tags for the links manager and other plug-ins…It’s quite amazing what a user can do with that system. I have to say that I’m impressed. Anymore after using tons of web based software over the years it takes a lot to get me all jazzed…well it happened again. This week I should be finishing the links area, organize the sidebar, add some awesome RSS feeds to the site, and finally a cool new thingy I am working on!

S14 Silvia

New category “S14 Silvia.” This is for everything related to my car, and races. Stay tuned.

For those who haven’t noticed I’ve been doing more work on the site. Certain sections should be finished this weekend.

People

It seems like forever sense I’ve posted something about my life. Recently I’ve been posting findings, random articles I write, and other totally useless stuff.

Fear no more, events of the past couple days have sparked me to write something somewhat about my life for those who care. Ok so my question is why do people over analyze things? I mean seriously just because I did something why the hell do people have to take that and blow it all outta proportion. I wish people would ask rather than assume. It’s so damn aggravating.

In other news I’m behind in school like no other and its totally kicking me in the ass. Lesson learned don’t get behind. :)

I’m so exited my parents are going to visit my brother in Pullman this weekend! Minor problem-my sister is still living at home (yes she moved back in for people that don’t know, ask for details). But she works Saturday and I think the rest of the weekend ill figure out some way to be gone. It will be so nice to have some free time, and it’s a four day weekend for me so ill hopefully get caught up in all my classes.

Well that’s enough for now. I have lots of projects going on right now; I just don’t feel like sharing them with half the internet, yet.

Happy Singles Awareness Day

Uh yeah title says it all. Hope everyone had a good one.

Accounting

I’ve come to realize how much I hate accounting. I never really enjoyed it but now it’s to a point where I do hate it. I just thought I would share that thought with everyone. Back to homework.

Website Filtering

Okay, the community college that I go to hates me (Centralia College). They have filtered me on their free wifi.

Super Bowl

1st - There were some very poor calls. I only watched about half the game, it was enough to piss me off.

2nd - If you missed the famous commercials, check them here: http://video.google.com/superbowl.html

Office / Cube Pranks

I saw a webpage a longtime ago that had some great pictures of office pranks but everytime I went to go back the site had busted it’s bandwidth and the pics weren’t available. After much hunting I’ve managed to put together a few of them for your enjoyment :D

The moral of this post? Don’t take sick days. Don’t go on vacation. Eat in your cube. Trust no-one. ;)

If anyone knows who’s photo’s these are then please pass on their details to me, or leave a comment so that I can credit them properly (there’s a faint watermark on some of them but all I can make out is ‘Pocket’).

Iron

Well I had to write about the element Iron in 1st person. I thought it was funny, so enjoy.

My name is Iron, I am very special because my atomic number is 26, and no one else can say that their atomic number is 26. I have been around sense before god. I’m so old that I forgot who, how or where I was found. That makes me sad. I weigh 55.845amu, and I think that’s damn good for my old age. Considering I still live on my own, I can drive, and don’t need a walker or a wheel chair. I am very special though because I am the most abundant element on earth. Now let me tell you that’s some bragging rights. Not to mention I have a cool house and cars. I am used in 95 percent of the world’s metals, some of my oxides are used to manufacture computer components, I am used to make carbon steel, and of course my favorite activity of all is cast iron. Well that is a little bit about me, I hope you enjoyed reading it, and remember to thank me next time you get into your car.
