Bar-codes

I just wanted to mention I hate bar-codes right now. I will expand on this at a later date. For the time being I’ve been at work for 12 hours today. My brother gets married next weekend. I worked all weekend. Um yea I though my life would slow down after finals (last Friday), I was wrong, very very wrong. I do have lots of articles that I have been working on, just nothing to publish, yet.

Flooding

Can someone PLEASE stop the rain. If it floods…I mean seriously floods…its going to seriously fuck shit up at work. Thx.

In other news we have the pump going and we are doing good for the time being I just hope it lets up soon.

This weekend was busy with cleaning and organizing, so there is a reason for the lack of posts. I’ve switched gears from working on the main site to cleaning up the gallery. The gallery gets quite a bit of traffic so I am trying to get that cleaned up before I get this finished. So look forward to changes on the site and gallery of the new few days, because I have lots of stuff coming up.

SEO and Adwords

I’ve done quite a bit of web stuff in the past few years, but today it is apparent everything is changing and its changing very fast. Search Engine Submission and submitting sites to directories takes a ton of work. Its quite amazing how much work it actually takes.

Adwords has been another learning curve. For those of you who don’t know adwords is Googles’ advertising thingy they use on their site. For my online store (treatyourpet.com) I’ve reading about Google Adwords almost every night. To do keywords and such it’s just taking a ton of time.

I need more hours in the day! And I also need a few less projects!

In other news Gallery RC2 is out!

Deer

Yes, after going to Salem, OR today I hit a deer. I had to go down to Salem for a business meeting. Meanwhile after the meeting walking back from the coffee shop we saw a friend of his girl friend blow past (she has a lead foot), but she saw us and few into a parking spot, we ended up going back to the coffee shop and hanging out for a little while and I got her cell number, yay. She’s very cool and drives like me; I need to call her tomorrow…

Back to the deer…

…I was pitching up a switch from the LAN party some friends of mine had this weekend and on the way back, I was driving around a blind corner, BAM and well you can figure out the rest. No I don’t know how the deer was in my mirror it was belly up in the ditch but because it was on a blind corner I couldn’t stick around and ask him if he was ok, or she for that matter. But, my truck is fine I just need to adjust the headlight and get a new turn signal bulb and it will be all better.

On another note after having my laptop take a dump on me about a week and a half ago I havn’t been able to post because I have been to busy at work and in the evenings im on mhy brother’s laptop like I am now. He is playing on my xBox so I can use his laptop, a fair trade. So still stay tuned for the updates of my Indy 500 trip.

Starfish Resurrection

Today I encountered one of the most interesting conversations I’ve ever had on the phone, ok maybe not but I find it rather entertaining.

This random girl calls the plant, I am guessing it’s a girl because she sounds young, so she proceeds to tell me that two days ago she found a shriveled up starfish. She goes on to tell me that she put it in her fishbowl and today its gone! Then, she asked me if it “came back to life?” seriously, what do you say to someone when they tell you this? I told her, trying not to die laughing, that I don’t know, and you know what’s coming next, she asks me who to call! I wasn’t thinking so I told her maybe a pet store.

The best part was that she was totally dead serious.

Essay

Ok, this morning I FINALLY finished my essay for
eng102. It’s a beast. Well itâ..s not really that bad but for me it is,
and if you suck at English like I do. Yeah that kind of explains it.

If you wish to read the essay, please read on…

Flat Tires

Tonight was a night to remember thatâ..s for sure. Well all of today was
an odd day. Started out with a funeral, then I went to the dump. Talk
about excitement. I worked on my paper for the next four hours; I got a
lot done on it so thatâ..s a good thing. Itâ..s due Monday; so tomorrow
I have to hurry my butt up and get it done tomorrow.

Ok so tonight…

So I went to Starbucks with a friend and then we went to see The Wedding
Date, kind of a dumb movie…but it was interestingly funny at the same
tine. After the movie I was taking her home, but then I started to hear
this noise. Pulled into a parking lot and yeah…flat tire. Shit! So I
debated call parents are just change it. So I figured my rents really
couldn’t do anything to help me out. So I started changing the tire I
did it in 20 minutes or less. Not bad for a geek that hasnâ..t changed a
tire in forever and a half. So laughed about it and went and got hot
chocolate at McDonalds. Burned my tongue but it was good. Took her home,
came home and now I am writing this.

For the record I was really mad because I have only had these tires for
half a week. So that really pissed me off. Monday I guess I will see if
someone decided to play a joke on me or if I ran over something.

Bedtime.

People…Round 2

Well after yesterday’s email, here is the update…

What I wrote back:

Hello Sir. I beleve you have our two different treat lines
mixed up. Our Original “Bear” Treats are the ones that we are currently
selling online, and those were the orginal treats that we made. We have
come out with a new line of treats called Home-Style, as it says on the
label of those treats. As far as being able to get the old product
please ask your current store because we are making both lines of
products. Concerning our online store, those are ONLY the old products
at this time. I have not added the “Home-Style” Treats to the store yet.
If you have any other questions, or need to get the Original treats
please let me know.

His responce today:

Thank you for your quick response to my inquiry. I
apologize for the misunderstanding. It most definitely is the original
recipe my dogs love best. (although they eat the home-style recipe with
as much fervor) I take back what I said. Sorry. I was having a bad
day. I shall continue to support your product with pleasure. Thank you.

Once again a fan.

Anyway I got a kick out of that. Well enough work for one day….

People…

This evening I ran into work, currently where I am writing this to be exact, and upon checking my email I got this email from a customer somewhere in New Your state. What I find quite funny about this is that he has confused two of our different product lines.

From the first email:

My inquiry is per your Alaskan Bear Treats. When I first started buying this product, it was because it was free of filler ingredients that my dog doesn’t need to be injesting: lecithin to be exact. Now your treats are packed full of lecithin. It’s obvious that you want to stretch your salmon supply to go further. Unfortunately, it’s more cost effective for you and you get more product and more money. But what burns me up more than the fact that you’ve ruined a good product is the fact that we have to pay the old price still. Same money, less salmon, more filler. You’ve gone the route of our wonderful transit system here in New York. Less service, more fees.P.S. What EXACTLY is salmon MEAL?

No longer a fan.

The Second:

Oh, and also, you need to change the pictures on your web site. The treats don’t look that delicious any longer. (All smashed flat and processed looking) That’s false advertizing, isn’t it?

Still no longer a fan.

I wrote him a nice email back explaining the new treats hes talking about are the “Home-Style” and that we currently only have our old treats on our website, http://norpacfish.com. Ok enough ranting, time to go home.
